That's right, Ben. Hollywood *is* coming to town. And, we're ready
to play the part, complete with straw cowgirl hats strung with
Swarovski crystals! Forget the sea of red, cardinal and gold will
rule Lincoln for the weekend.
In a trip we've been planning for YEARS, GGT departs this
morning for an adventure that will go down in the annals of
football.
Final destination: Lincoln, home of the University of Nebraska
Cornhuskers.
This is only the second time Trojans have traveled to Lincoln - but,
the first time for us. We'll be celebrating Coach Carroll's birthday
on Saturday - at the legendary Memorial Stadium which will be
sold out for an NCAA-record 283rd time. Do the math: football
programs average 6 home games a year.
We're excited to meet these Cornhusker fans on their turf. As you
may remember, last year's trip wasn't the comeback they had
hoped for the team that owns the nation's best record from
1970-2006. Now we have the chance to introduce the rest of
Husker Nation to Pac-10 football.
For those of you in the Midwest, we'll be hopping down O Street on
gameday. For those of you watching in HD at home, the game
will be televised on ABC - kickoff at 5pm Hollywood time.
