GGT at the Pacific Life Pac-10 Championships Semifinal
USC v Washington State
Congratulations Ryan Murphy,
Winner of the
2007 GGT March Madness
Challenge!!!
Pac-10 Championships
It's not football season but that doesn't mean we are taking it easy.  Just because Coach Carroll and
company are busy preparing for the fall schedule, our pom poms aren't in storage!

Serena and I had the chance to catch the semifinal game of the Pacific Life Pac-10 Championships --
thanks to Tom Mays and Pacific Life!  Beating the Cougars 70-61 paved the way to our third-place
finish in the tournament.  Go Trojans!!!

2007 GGT March Madness Challenge
After the Pacific Life Pac-10 Championships, we launched the inaugural GGT March Madness
Challenge, with a charitable contribution made to the Ryan Francis Fund for each participant.  Now
that Florida has repeated their championship run, the results are in...

First place goes to Ryan Murphy (a top-notch family lawyer who practices in Southern California).
With 49 correct choices, including the only player to pick Florida, and 152 total points, Ryan sailed to
victory.  Congratulations, man!!!!

Russ Newsom (political guy who works at the White House but, no worries -- he isn't related to
Gavin) took second place
with 50 correct choices but only 120 total points.  Good job, Russ -- even
though you are an ND fan.

I am reluctant to report that I finished dead last.  But, thanks to everyone who submitted their brackets!
We'll see you again next year!

USC Basketball Finishes Ranked #15
At the beginning of the season, our sights were set on making "the tournament."  The USC Trojans
didn't disappoint.  Coach Floyd, or Tourney Tim as he is now known, broke into the field of 64 and led
the boys all the way to the Sweet Sixteen.  But, even more important -- along the way
the Trojans
annihilated Texas
and debilitated Kevin Durant in the second round.  Now that's what I'm talkin' about.

The last poll of the season reflects the great strides the program has made under Coach Floyd's
direction.  With a school-record 25 wins, SC ended the year 15th in the nation!

GGT looks forward to tip-off next year...Fight on!

Trojan Huddle
Football kicks off this weekend with the traditional Trojan Huddle on Saturday, April 7.  Gates open at
the Coliseum at 10:30am.  You know what that means...we're under the six month mark for the
countdown!!!

Nebraska Weekender -- Beat the Cornhuskers!
Which leads to one last bit of information...

Our first road game for the 2007 season will be USC at Nebraska, otherwise known as mecca for
college football fans.  Serena and I are serving on the host committee so you can be sure to know
where THE party will be at on September 13, 14, 15, AND 16.  We've already ordered our cowboy hats!
